Sample Group Itinerary

Please contact us for an endless list of optional activities and menus to best fit the needs of your group.

​Sample Event:  (Time frames can be adjusted to fit your needs)

  • 6pm- Arrival at Taylor Ranch. 

Upon arrival you will be greeted by our Authentic Horse Drawn Covered Wagon.  Hop in as you are taken back in time and hear a bit of the history of Taylor Ranch.  

Next you are invited to try your hand at sport fishing,  horseshoes, corn hole, badminton, or sit by our lake, relax and enjoy the views.

All recreational equipment provided. Fishing poles and artificial bait are provided with good bass, brim and blue gill fishing assured.

  • 6-10pm- Enjoy bottomless non-alcoholic beverages to include: a large assortment of soft drinks, fresh brewed iced tea, lemonade, coffee and water.

Asheville aka "Beer City" offers a variety Local Draft Beers and Cider that we feature as well as a Large Selection of Wines.  

Cocktails available upon request.

  • 6-10pm- Your guests will enjoy true Appalachian Culture with the sounds of a Professional Bluegrass Musicians, as they take requests and lead the calling of Audience Participation Square Dances and Mountain Broom Dances.

  • 6:45pm- The Calling of the Cattle Taylor Ranch is home to one of the largest herds of Registered Texas Longhorn Cattle in the Southeast. Watch in awe as a member of our staff (most likely a member of the Taylor Family) calls and feeds our magnificent herd.  This is a great photo opportunity with one of our prize steers.

  • 7pm- Dinner is served! The dinner bell rings as the aromas from the grill call all your guests to dinner!

Option #1 – Country Bash BBQ Buffet: Slow Smoked Pork BBQ served with sauce on the side, paired with Bone-in Grilled Chicken, Cream Coleslaw, Red Skin Potato Salad, , Dinner Rolls with Butter, Banana Pudding, Chocolate Cream Pie, and Peach Cobbler.

 

Option #2 – Ribs-N-Chicken: Pork ribs basted and smoked with BBQ sauce, served with Grilled Bone-in Chicken, Cream Coleslaw, Brown Sugar Baked Beans, Corn on the Cobb, Dinner Rolls with butter and an assortment of Homemade Cakes and Pies.
Additional menu selections are available. Vegetarian Entrée may be substituted for any entrée.

  • 8:30pm- Sit by the campfire and have a marshmallow roast, or sip on your cold local brew and listen to the Tales of True Appalachia as told by our Professional Appalachian Story Teller.

Guests of all ages will be mesmerized as she takes you back to the era of the Cherokee Indian, the homesteaders, the moonshiners, and many more. 

  • 10pm- Guests depart Taylor Ranch with memories made that will last a lifetime!
